He Had A Dream!

August 24, 2013

In a few days will be the the 50th anniversary of one of the most famous historic event, and certainly one of my favourite events in history - Martin Luther King Jr's "I have a dream" speech.

Martin Luther King was an individual whom resided in North America in the 20th century which wasn't exactly the best time for people of different skin colours as America and many more western countries had very strict racial segregation. Black people had to use different water fountains, different toilets, weren't allowed to stand on busses and a lot more.
Martin Luther King Jr had a dream that one day people wouldn't be judged by the colour of their skin, and his dream came true shortly after sharing his dream to the American public in 1963.
Many aspects of modern day society are all down to the outcomes of Martin Luther King Jr's great acts and in my opinion, he deserves a lot more appreciation than he gets.
Martin Luther King Jr is certainly my hero as he has had a great impact on how I live my life today and modern society, and i greatly admire him for his bravery and how he stood up to the overpowered white people who ruled society back in those days to follow up in his beliefs.
